• Fighting to expand and enhance Medicare for All

 

• Providing adequate funding and support to organizations that work with our disabled, our mentally ill, individuals battling substance abuse, our seniors, women, veterans, individuals in crisis and all our communities of need

• Tackling the Opioid Epidemic by addressing the need for more Awareness, Education and Prevention, coupled with more Treatment options and more support to our Law Enforcement by providing alternatives to incarceration and the hospital

Having worked throughout the District, particularly in the City of Newburgh and the City of Poughkeepsie, I have witnessed first hand the many challenges many of our community members are facing. From a lack of services, challenges finding housing, transportation and job opportunities or training. All these issues impact our community's health and wellness, particularly in light of rising healthcare costs.

No one should ever have to fear that they will have to lose their home by saving their child.
